LOCATION

St Paul's Square, Jewellery Quarter

TIME

6pm–10pm

Using delicate fibre optic lighting, the underground fungal networks that support plant life are recreated, representing the unseen yet vital systems that sustain ecosystems. The soft, glowing light creates an organic, almost otherworldly experience, inviting viewers to explore the hidden energy flows beneath the earth.

Designed to be visually stunning while also environmentally responsible, the artwork utilises energy-efficient fibre optic lighting and sustainable materials, ensuring a minimal ecological footprint. The gentle, pulsating light invites visitors to slow down, observe, and feel part of a larger whole, subtly reminding them of the interconnectivity that sustains life.

By drawing attention to the quiet yet powerful forces of nature, the installation challenges viewers to consider their role within these larger networks and to embrace more sustainable ways of living. The artwork fosters a collective experience of reflection, encouraging people to gather around a shared vision of harmony between technology and the environment.
